Good Guitar Hangers!

Bought two, will buy two more once we've settled on a layout for the living room and are ready to commit to hanging things on the walls there.Pretty easy to install (assuming you can use a tape measure, level, and a drill), impressively solid up on the wall! I chose to use a different type of anchor (high end 1/4" plastic expansion-type, rated for 100lbs each in this configuration) to make sheetrock patching easier if I ever decide to move them, and they're solid.I attached a few pictures of the end result. I do suggest spending a little time choosing your location, for best results. I centered mine under recessed lighting for the 'museum look,' hung them far enough apart that the size/length difference of the guitars isn't immediately obvious (the hangers are both the same distance from the ceiling, so the un-level-ness on the bottom is because of the size of the guitars), and hung a painting between them that complements the colors of the guitars.

A secure, easy to adjust, easy to mount guitar holder

Excellent purchase to get my guitar off the floor and out of the way. I was looking for another 'stand' when I came across these, and due to a recent room remodel, I had a blank space that was perfect to hang my guitar. I still have a 6-string on a floor stand in the living room, but my wife wants it to remain there for 'aesthetic purposes. :)Easy to install. Only took me a few minutes, and I used the included screw-in drywall anchors - excellent addition and MUCH better than those cheap, ineffective knock-off drywall anchors you typically get. This is a quality production all the way around. My concern that the wider neck of the 12-string would not fit correctly was unfounded when I discovered you can 'bend' the support arms slightly. I have a perfect fit, and I have no doubt that this would work perfectly for my 6-string (same manufacturer) with no modifications to accept the narrower neck of the 6-string.This is made in America, the good ol' U.S.A. and it shows!! Great job!!

Trusted brand that still "holds up"

Very easy setup with 1 drywall anchor and a stud. My guitar feels very sturdy on the wall! Fits a little snug on a 7-string, so it might not fit for 8's or 9's

Sturdy and looks great!

I will be ordering more of these guitar hangers by String Swing USA for the rest of my guitars. This one is the Black Walnut which looks great against any color to me. It’s made in the USA which is a plus also. It just good quality and very sturdy. I can put my guitar up when I’m finished and not worry one bit about it coming loose or falling. Again, I will be purchasing more of these for the rest of my collection.

Easy to install and fit pretty much any guitar or bass with a headstock

I've been using String Swing's individual hangers for years so it was a natural choice when renovating part of our basement into a studio and rehearsal space. The guitars in the picture are all mounted using drywall anchors. The anchors that come with it are fine, but I use 50lb EZ Ancors, which are absolutely overkill but are super easy to install and I like overkill when it comes to mounting expensive instruments. In terms of weight handling, I had a 13lb (!) Peavey T-40 bass mounted to a drywall-anchored String Swing for 4 years before I moved and it had no signs of giving way at all.A great product at a fair price. These are a good value and I'll keep using them.

Great Hanger for Any of Your Guitars

When I first decided to hang a couple of my guitars 6 years ago I found these and they've done a great job. So much so, that when I decided to hang 2 more guitars recently, I bought the same hangers. They look nice on the wall and are easy to install. They hold all of my guitars well and I don't ever worry that my guitars are going to fall off or will be damaged. (I have a Fender Strat, a Fender Squire P-bass, an Alvarez 12-string, and a Taylor 224, and all are held well.) They have a nice fit around the neck of all of my guitars. Over time, these have held up perfectly. They have stayed secure on the wall and show no signs of wear and tear. I did screw these into the studs and I recommend doing that if you are trusting your expensive guitars hanging on the wall.

yup.

Been using for over 3 years. The weight of my guitars is 4 pounds for the acoustic, 9 pounds for the electric, and I have the ukulele version. Drilled into a stud for the guitars, used drywall anchors for the ukulele. Seems sturdy enough for me, no signs of back outs or falling. Don't see how they could make it better, and to be honest it's a simple thing, it would seem hard to make it worse.

Sturdy holder for my Yamaha Bass Guitar

I bought this to hang my Yamaha bass guitar on the wall where I won't trip over it or knock it over if it were on a floor stand. Installation was easy but I did have to replace the mounting screws as they weren't long enough to reach the wood studs where I mounted it. It seems the 2" screws are really meant for installing on drywall with the included drywall screw anchors. No big deal as I was able to scrounge up a couple of longer screws that worked perfectly. My guess is that you will probably need at least 2.5 inch #6 wood screws for mounting through drywall into studs. Still worthy of 5-star rating and I plan to get another matching String Swing wall mount soon after buying another guitar that will also hang on the wall.

MADE IN USA & You Can Tell!

MADE IN USA & ROCK SOLID! I have 6 of these and they are fantastic! They sit far enough from the wall to handle any style guitar. Whether it’s an electric or acoustic it grips them tight yet gently with zero movement so I’m never worried they will fall off. Tough enough to hold and bold enough to prominently display any guitar. Did I mention they are made in the USA? Nuff said.

Great way to store and display your guitars.

I ordered my first one of these years ago and now have 6. They look great and include the screws and anchors for mounting. I have only ever attached these right into studs, but the included drywall anchors are the heavy duty kind that I use elsewhere (where I am not hanging a heavy and expensive musical instrument). I was even able to rotate the arms around to hang a banjo where the pegs were touching and now it sits perfectly.

Securely holds my acoustic; easy installation

I was pleasantly surprised with how easy the included hardware worked. I did put it where there were no studs; so I can’t guarantee it would be as good where studs are in the wall.

Perfect solution for my guitar collection (at least some of it)

I bought eleven of these in order to hang a bunch of my guitars and I found them to be extremely simple and quick to install. The included anchors work perfectly and went in without issue, leaving the String Swing solidly connected to the wall.If you are hanging a lot of guitars, making two rows (one high and one low) seems to be the best option. I spaced the hangers eighteen inches apart and the guitars I put up look nice and have a good, tight spacing. I uploaded two pictures of my wall after I had installed nine of the hangers and I couldn't be more pleased with the look... the pictures are uploaded on this product page. I have put up the other two hangers since I uploaded the pictures, so I will have to do new pictures, but the ones that I put up will give you a good representation of the look you will get with these. The easiest way to hang a lot of these is to use a laser level such as the Black & Decker BDL100AV All-In-One SureGrip Laser Level and a long cloth tape measure that you can tack to the wall. I just went down the wall making dots directly on the line, drilled quick pilot holes and nine of the string swings were installed in about 20 - 30 minutes. I think that this is the quickest and easiest way to get a professional-looking installation. As far as the performance of the hangers goes, what is there to say? The included anchors are big enough to keep the wooden backplate securely fastened to the wall and the hanger screws into a metal receptacle in the middle of it. As long as you make sure that you tighten the hanger properly, you will be in good shape.I DO NOT, however, recommend buying the String Swing Home and Studio Wall Bumper Brown, as they are complete garbage and fall off the wall almost immediately.EDIT: I put the other hangers up now and did NOT drill pilot holes. The anchors are made in such a way as to be nailed into the wall without using a pilot hole. Just mark the positions, use a hammer to nail the anchors up to the screw portion, then screw them in. It took about 1 minute to put a new hanger up, but this was partially due to the fact that I was able to use a level and put it against the bottom of the other hangers to get the line. At any rate, you do not need to drill pilot holes; just nail and go!

Great Guitar Hangers with a Minor Wide-Neck Issue

These guitar hangers are fantastic! They’re sturdy, easy to install, and securely mount my guitars on the wall, freeing up valuable floor space. The padded arms protect my instruments’ finishes, and the sleek design adds a stylish touch to my music room. They work perfectly for both my acoustic and electric guitars, making it easy to grab one for a quick practice session. The only downside is that they don’t accommodate wide-neck guitars well. Still, I highly recommend them for most guitarists looking to display their collection safely and elegantly!

Professional Look and Quality

If I were to hang heavy electric guitars from the hangers, I might use longer screws. By the time the 2" provided screws travel through the wood bracket and 1/2" sheetrock/drywall, just a little of 1" screws into the wall stud. For acoustic guitars the 2" screws are fine, but for heavier guitars I might go with 2-1/2" or 3" long screws. Very nice quality and look... I'd buy them again.

Great quality, strong, shaped just right

I was debating these vs the locking ones and decided to go with these. I made the right choice. They look lovely, hold instruments with various shapes and sizes of head, and have a non foam surface which is supposedly better for more delicate finishes (none of my guitars have nitro finishes but it’s nice to know that these will be safe(r)).Installation was quick and easy. I ended up putting a backing board up as my studs were too far apart for what I wanted. I used screws with tighter threads that I bought from Lowes.I like the way the hanger pivots to maintain guitar center of gravity. It holds my Tele no problem. Even my little ukulele.Note that when you screw in the hanger into the wood base, do NOT screw all the way in! It is supposed to be a little loose. If you see the little black rubber spacer behind the hanger severely compressed, you’ve screwed it too far. I’ve seen a few reviews complaining that the hanger screw sticks out the back too far. The reason is because they screwed it in too tight. It’s supposed to be a little loose, so the hanger can rotate depending on the headstock shape. All in all very happy with the purchase. Now to go get more guitars!
